Not interested in a backrest, but you are interested in purchasing a similar sleek aftermarket rack? Pirates Lair orders our custom racks from a friend of ours who manufactures and sells them from his own website. If you are looking for a sturdier rear rack than the crappy plastic rack that comes on the Kawasaki Concours 14, he has what you want and at a reasonable price. He offers his racks in a variety of finishes to match the look you are wanting. His replacement racks (which are similar to ours except NOT backrest compatible) are CNC machined of 3/8” (10 MM) 6061-T6 aluminum and is over 1/4” (6.5 MM) thick at its thinnest point. Each is powder coated a black textured finish to match the finish on the saddle bags and has a brushed aluminum finish on the raised ribs. Slots allow attachment of almost any brand top-box mounting plate. Sweet!
