Pirates Lair has been searching for a "worthy" tank grip material for years and now we've found one in TechSpec's Gripster Tank Grips. By gripping the S1000RR tank with your legs, a rider can improve the overall control of a motorcycle, control of their body weight, and obtain a more positive seat position. Improved control of the riders body weight will help improve overall handling. Increased control equals a smoother, less fatigued, and more enjoyable ride.

The material, called Snake Skin , is a standard rubber product that is about .125” thick and molded with a low profile diamond grip pattern to help increase the coefficient of friction. It's suited for riders of all skill levels and all conditions but especially for aggressive, higher skilled, track day riders. The Snake Skin patterned material also uses TechSpec’s “Releasable/Reusable adhesive” which means you can peel it off and reuse and not have to worry about all kinds of adhesives being left on your tank.

Each BMW S1000RR (3) piece kit comes with both a left and right side panel (pic at left) and a center tank protector should you choose to trash the factory tank protector. FYI.. I use TechSpec's Gripster Tank Grips on all my bikes and I swear by it.

Note: This is a new product. We'll post more pics of the complete kit as soon as we can get them. Kit does NOT include a tank protector like some Tech Spec Kits.
